Tuition/Registration/Cancellation
  • Tuition Due: follow instructions when booking or reserving the course or workshop.

  • Booking may require the payment in full or with a deposit. If paying with a non-refundable deposit to secure a spot for the course or workshop, the deposit will be applied towards tuition.

  • Pre-registration required for all classes/workshops.

  • Registration of a class/workshop is not guaranteed until your payment is received.

  • Workshops/Classes/Camps are non-refundable/prorated/credited due to failure to attend, planned absences, illnesses, injuries, vacations or any unforeseen events.

  • If Colorspace Arts cancels any class, workshop or program, all paid tuition will be refunded for the canceled days.

  • Workshops may be cancelled by Colorspace Arts art prior to the start date of course/workshop.  Please make a note of this in connection with making traveling plans; Colorspace Arts shall not have liability or responsibility for any student loss associated with travel costs or travel reservations and/or any other related costs associated with attendance at any workshop, program, lecture or session, regardless of whether such class is terminated by Colorspace Arts or the student/attendee.

  • A minimum enrollment of 6 must be met.  When enrollment requirements are not met, the class may be cancelled unless an agreement is reached between Colorspace Arts and the instructor.

Cancellation/Refund
  • More than 4 Weeks Before Class Start Date: 100% refund is offered, minus (if applicable) a non-refundable deposit.

  • 2-4 Weeks Before Class Start Date: 50% refund is offered, minus (if applicable) a non-refundable deposit.

  • Less Than 2 Weeks Before Class Start Date: Unfortunately, no refund is offered.

Youth Pick Up and Drop Off
  • When arriving the guardian/parent or authorized person must sign the child in and out at pick up time unless authorized by guardian/parent for the student to sign in and out without the presence of guardian/parent. The sign-in/out form is located at the door. You are required to sign in/out using full name, date and time.

  •  Colorspace Arts will not release your child to any person without your written permission.  The person picking up your child must have identification, as we may ask for verification of identity before releasing a child.

  • Anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol arriving at the studio to pick up a child will be asked to call someone else to pick up that child. If a person leaves with a child while they appear to be under the influence, we will call 911.

  • Late Pick-Up Policy Fee and Procedure: A late fee will be charged to any parent/guardian who picks up 10 minutes after class ends. A fee of $10.00 will be charged beginning 10 minutes after ending time and $1.00 for each additional minute. If you anticipate that you may be late, a phone call is appreciated. The fee must be paid in cash. Each student will receive one exemption for late pick-ups. 

 

Community Guidelines
  • Treat one another with exceptional respect, patience, and kindness.

  • Kitchen is available to all, please keep the area clean and wash your own dishes/cups.

  • Socializing, refueling, and resting are encouraged as needed.  Please keep in mind that the      space is an open area and voices carry throughout the studio.

  • Never pour any chemical/solvent down the drain.

  •  Keep solvents in a closed container.

  • Do not wash your oil painting brushes/supplies in the kitchen or the restroom.

  • Do not crumble up your oily rags/paper towels. Remove all your oily rags/paper towel out of the studio and premise when you leave the studio for the day.

  • You are responsible for properly disposing of any chemical/solvents.

  • Please do not leave anything valuables in the studio unattended; Colorspace Arts is not    responsible for any lost or stolen articles at the studio.

  • In some workshops, seating will be assigned by raffle.

  • Please keep your personal items and workstation to a minimum to save space when the studio is crowded. Please take your belongings including your drawings and paintings with you when you leave each day.

  • The front row is reserved for students who prefer to sit down. Those students who wish to stand at their easels will have the space behind the seated students. 

  • Please respect all members of the studio, do not disturb them unless necessary.

  • Colorspace Arts reserves the rights to escort an individual who presents unsafe and/or unpleasant situations to others out of the building premise.

 

Social Media & Digital Devices
  • Colorspace Arts reserves the right to post and display copies of students’ artwork or to use student/attendee photographs for Colorspace Arts events/program/workshop publicity.

  • Cell phones policy is determined by the class instructor. It must be silenced in the studio at all times. If you must take the call, please do so in the hallway.

  • Using cameras, phones or mobile devices for video or photos while the model is posing is not allowed.

  • Do not photograph models under any circumstances, except with the permission of the model.

  • Must ask for permission before taking photos of artwork that is not yours.

  • You are allowed to take photos of your own artwork while the model is not posing.

  •  When a model is posing on the stand do not touch your camera or cell phone at all.​

 

Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk & Indemnity Agreement
  • In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in any of the activities at Colorspace Arts, including, but not limited to, art classes, workshops and modeling sessions (hereinafter referred to as “Activities”), I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives, or assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Colorspace Arts and its officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Releasees”) from liability from any and all claims, including the negligence and strict liability of the Releasees, resulting in any physical or psychological injury (including death), illness, property loss, damages, costs, and/or emotional or economic loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in any of the Activities.
     

  • Assumption of Risks: Participation in any of the Activities carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary from one activity to another, but the risks range from 1) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains, to 2) major injuries such as eye injury, joint or back injury, injury to bone and/or soft tissue, heart attacks, concussions, pain, suffering, and emotional harm or damage, to 3) catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death, to 4) damage to my property.
     

  • I have read the above paragraph and I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in or may occur when participating in any of the Activities. I hereby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I assume all such risks, both known and unknown to me, foreseeable or unforeseeable. 
     

  • Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold Releasees harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, settlements, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees or damage to my person or personal property, brought about as a result of my involvement in any of the Activities, and to reimburse the Releasees for any such expenses incurred.
     

  • Entire Agreement, Governing Law, Severability: I agree that these terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties and that I have not relied on any representations or inducements apart from the terms herein. I further expressly agree that the foregoing terms are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of California, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
     

  • Voluntary Execution: I am 18 years old or older. I have read all of the provisions of these terms and understand the legal consequences of signing this document, including but not limited to 1) releasing Releasees from all liability, 2) promising not to sue Releasees, and 3) assuming all risks of participating in any of the Activities.

  • I understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing this document freely and voluntarily, I am capable of executing this Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, & Indemnity Agreement, and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law. No other representations concerning the legal effect of this document have been made to me.​​
