Tuition $180 which includes a notebook and collage materials. Course Description: Introductions - journal topic: “why are you here?” discussion of history of journal collage basic deco of journal cover using teacher materials next week: bring paper recycling from home! “something from nothing” collage in journal using personal materials, recycling from teacher journal topic: “what’s an experience you can’t wait to have, or an experience you’re so glad is over?” make the most of your materials while creating little waste or clutter. next week: bring flat treasures (photos, special stickers, ribbon from a birthday gift, etc) “treasure box” collage in journal using personal materials, embellishments from teacher journal topic: “what do you think defines you?” learn how best to adhere various materials to paper without damage. next week: bring anything “week in summary” collage in journal using personal and teacher supplies journal topic: “what fictional character or real-life animal would you like to switch bodies with?” experiment with various cutting and trimming tools. learn how to fix materials that have been cut incorrectly. next week: bring anything “week in summary” collage in journal using personal and teacher supplies journal topic: “what are your dreams like? do you enjoy sleeping, or would you rather be awake?” explore contrasting and complementary colors in your layout. focus on creating a collage that sticks to a color scheme. next week: bring anything TO SHARE “what I learned” two-page collage spread in journal using other students’ supplies and teacher supplies journal topic: “if you could go back in time and give yourself a message, how far back would you go, and what would you say?” use the various lessons you’ve learned all in one collage!
