On Saturdays and Sundays we have classes for teens desiring to create original art in an art studio supported by award winning instructors.
Tween and Teen Animation Studio with Wallace Keller
Saturdays from 10AM-12:30PM
Tuition $70 per class
Materials included
This class prepares young artists interested in creating Illustrated Storybooks, Film and Television, Educational Videos, Video Game Design, Commercial Art, and Comics Art.
Do you have a story you want to tell? I am passionate about helping students develop their own ideas and bring them to life.
We will start with story and character development and by the end of the fall semester, students will have completed a compelling story with visually dynamic beat boards and storyboards.
In the spring semester, student will learn to expand stories from storyboards to animatics.

Wallace is a published author and illustrator and a professor at California College of the Arts in San Francisco where he teaches Drawing for Animation, Visual Storytelling and Color and Design for Visual Development as well as Pre-College 2D Animation. A graduate of Art Center College of Design, he began his career in New York as an illustrator and animation designer, building a career that has spanned publishing, editorial illustration, animation, product design and higher education.
Teen Fine Art Studio with Zander Bice

Materials included
This class is designed for teenagers aged 13-18 that are interested in developing technical skills and applying those skills on personal creative projects.
Emphasis in this class will be exploring various mediums, mastering technical concepts(such as anatomy, perspective, portraiture, etc.), and making decisions about content and subject matter
Students will be encouraged to participate in select regional and national art competitions and make pieces that show personal creative vision as well as technical prowess.
Teen Figure Drawing with Barbara Pollak
Sundays from 1PM-4PM
Starts Sept 13
In this introductory class, students will dive into the basics of figure drawing, practicing quick gestural poses leading up to longer, more detailed work. Over the course of six weeks, students will learn how to construct a simplified figure, draw folds as well as basic anatomy, and add shading to create a sense of light and shadow.
We'll also experiment with various materials such as charcoal, pastel and ink for different approaches to capturing the figure.
Expressive Animal Portraits

Eva Strohmeier is a visual artist and arts educator with 26 years of teaching experience across elementary, middle school, high school, and college settings. For 21 years, she has taught within the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts program, supporting students as they develop technical skills, original ideas, and a confident personal artistic voice. Her teaching combines structured studio instruction with student-directed inquiry and creative experimentation across a range of visual arts
Costumed Figure Drawing with
Mildred Hankinson
Sunday from 1PM-4PM, Jan 10 to Feb 14
Ages 13 to Adults
Learn to draw the clothed figure in this six-week foundational course. Students will learn how to pose and sketch the figure, render folds and drapery, and utilize fine art and illustration techniques to enhance their drawings. Models will pose for both quick gestures and multi-hour studies while wearing a wide variety of outfits and costumes. If you’re interested in illustration, narrative painting, character design, or just “leveling up” your figure drawing then this is the class for you!
